Meet Sam (and goose)
After studying winemaking in Wagga Wagga and working as a winemaker in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Sam realised that great wine should feel like an open door, not a velvet rope.
From this idea, NOMAN was born.
Now, Sam works with growers across Australia, who share his passion for the land, to craft wines that can be enjoyed in new or good company. Wines that can be pulled out of the fridge on a hot summer day and get polished off in minutes while watching the sun go down, or enjoyed with a single glass on a Tuesday night in the confines of your own peace, warm and cozy with a relaxing sip of wine in the middle of winter.
Sam's philosophy of “necessary intervention” keeps the focus on letting the fruit and terroir shine naturally. Sometimes that means experimenting with creative innovation. Sometimes it means using time-tested winemaking techniques and letting the fruit tell the story.
Always, it means keeping things real.

The Story of NOMAN
Inspired by Odysseus in The Odyssey, NOMAN is rooted in the power of storytelling.
Just as Odysseus captivated the cyclops Polyphemus with his nectar-like wine, our wines capture the essence of the grapes' origins, journeys, and future.
NOMAN is a tribute to honest and unpretentious wines, crafted with respect for their roots.
When made with only necessary intervention, wine can wax the epic of its fruit, the land, and the people who share in its story. We invite you to be part of its journey.
